You spoke. I listened. Many of you thought the offer of a free signed book for your dad for anyone who could get someone with a million plus followers on Twitter to tweet a link to my book, Forgotten Sundays, was too little for too much. That’s why I love social media. We can all adjust on the fly.
So here are the new rules:
1. A free, signed book for your Dad (or you) if you get someone who has more than 350,000 followers to tweet the Amazon link to my book. Make sure they include your Twitter handle in the tweet. That way you can retweet it with my twitter handle (@gerrysandusky) so I can keep track of it.
2. I’ll keep track of standings. On August 1st, the person who has gotten the individual (or company) with the most Twitter followers to tweet out the link to my book wins two tickets to the Baltimore Ravens, regular season opening game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium.
What do you think? Fair enough?
I’ll keep a blog post with the standings on who gets the biggest hitters on Twitter to tweet out the link to my book. Be creative and let’s have some fun.
Here’s an example:
Awesome book for father’s day. http://www.amazon.com/Forgotten-Sundays-Sons-Story-Sidelines/dp/076245248X/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1397936499&sr=1-1 @yournamehere. @gerrysandusky
The photo in this post comes from a follower on Facebook named Aaron Lewis. He told me how my book, Forgotten Sundays, helped him and his dad get closer. That’s what got me to thinking about this in the first place.
I hope I get the chance to make this a special Father’s day for you and your dad and the two of you get to sit in my seats for the Ravens opening game.
